My mother always told me, “You should explore your own country before stepping out into the world.” However, it seems like a tough mission to travel all across its expansive surfaces. But luckily for me, Via Rail Canada offered youths between the ages of 18 and 25 the chance to ride the train across Canada for the month of July. The ticket was a bargain $150. My best friends Trevor, Joel and Jeremy and I immediately jumped at the opportunity and secured four tickets on the great Canadian railroad.
For a group of 20-year-olds, this was like the first flight of young birds from the nest. When we approached the train station in the morning, our 22-day adventure from Sudbury to Vancouver was to begin. Eyes baggy from lack of sleep, we jumped on board as if it was the train to Hogwarts in Harry Potter. Although the thought of three full days on those tracks covering close to 3, 000 kilometres crushed our spirits a little, what happened next caught us by surprise.
The three days on board turned into a summer camp on rails. At night, we would climb up the glass-domed train car, which gave us a scenic view of the starry night sky, untouched by the harmful light pollution. Before we knew it, the warm sun rays beating down on our faces woke us up for another day on the rails. To my surprise, a sea of golden grain fields dominated the landscape we were in the Canadian Prairies.
Another day slipped away and we set up for another night in the dome. And this time we were greeted by night sky painted by a fantastic thunderstorm. Lightning was striking at an incredible rate. The spectacular and memorable light show left everyone in the glass bubble in complete disbelief.
Arriving in the Rocky Mountains was one of the most surrealistic(超现实的) experiences of my life. Before the train adventure, if I could have skipped the travel and arrived at the destination, I would have. That is no longer true. I’ve learned that the journey can be more enjoyable than the destination.

It's known that reading is good for a child's vocabulary and literacy skills, teaching them math or science concepts and helping them learn history. Apart from those, reading has another benefit. Have you read a story and felt tears well up because of a character's suffering? If so, that is because you have empathy(共鸣)for the character—and empathy can be learned through various fictions. "It's a magic eye that sees into other people's hearts, "explains author Cressida Cowell.
Research shows that human brains react differently to stories and facts. "Many more areas of your brain light up when you're enjoying a story, explains Miranda McKearney from EmpathyLab, an organisation that builds empathy through reading." Your brain thinks you are in the story...This means you experience the characters' thoughts as if they are real.
Empathy helps you to read people's emotions and work out the best way to respond. This skill, called emotional intelligence, can make it easier to communicate and connect with people. Research has shown that building empathy can lead to greater kindness and tolerance. One study found that children who read the Harry Potter novels—which tell stories about humans fighting against the evil-were less likely to behave unfairly towards powerless groups including refugees(难民).
This theory has been put into practice by St Michael's Primary School. After reading The Boy at the Back of the Class—a story about a boy who is a refugee escaping from the war-students in that school were inspired to do a 10-mile walk for the non-profit organisation Refugee Action. Their empathy also spurred them to raise 1,000 for people who were forced to leave their homes because of war.
Reading encourages children to empathise with others, which could potentially lead to several beneficial learning outcomes, new research suggests. For society to develop, creative, communicative and empathetic individuals really matter.
28、Why do readers cry about a character's experience?
A.They have magic eyes.
B.They want to show empathy.
C.They understand his feelings
D.They have the same experience.
29、What does the author show by referring to the Harry Potter novels?
A.The process of building empathy.
B.The benefits of developing empathy.
C.The definition of emotional intelligence.
D.The results of the school's activity.
30、What does the underlined word "spurred" mean in paragraph 4?
A.Reminded. B.Permitted. C.Persuaded. D.Encouraged.
31、What might the author advise children to do?
A.Read to learn empathy. B.Become empathetic to others.
C.Put themselves in others' shoes. D.Read as many books as possible.
Have you ever looked at a seal and thought "Is that the same seal I saw yesterday " Well, there could soon be an app for that. Taking inspiration from other technology adapted for recognizing primates(灵长目动物) and bears, Krista Ingram, a biologist at Colgate University, developed SealNet, the software that uses deep learning and a convolutional neural network(卷积神经网络) to tell one seal face from another.
The team had to train their software to identify seal faces. "I give it a photograph, it finds the face, and clips it to a standard size," says Ingram.
They tested the software using 406 different seals and found that SealNet could correctly identify the seals' faces 85 percent of the time. The team has since expanded its database to include around 1,500 seal faces. As the number of seals logged in the database goes up, so does the accuracy of the identification, Ingram says.
As with all tech, however, SealNet is not always infallible. The software saw seal faces in other body parts, vegetation, and even rocks. In one case, Ingram and her students did a double take at the uncanny(不可思议的) resemblance between a rock and a seal face.
Ingram points to site fidelity(忠诚) as an aspect of seal behavior that SealNet could shed more light on. The team's trials indicated that some harbor seals return to the same sites year after year. Increasing scientists' understanding of how seals move around could strengthen arguments for protecting specific areas, says Anders Galatius, an ecologist at Aarhus University in Denmark who was not involved in the project.
32、What is the main function of SealNet
A. Distinguishing different seals. B. Recognizing primates and bears.
C. Taking pictures for various animals. D. Clipping photos to a standard size.
33、How can the accuracy of SealNet be improved
A. By taking detailed pictures. B. By uploading more seal faces.
C. By upgrading the technology. D. By improving the skills of users.
34、What does the underlined word "infallible" mean in paragraph 4
A. Unique. B. Scientific. C. Convenient. D. Reliable.
35、What is the significance of SealNet
A. It can help find more seals. B. It can help better protect seals.
C. It can help locate a specific seal. D. It can help learn about seals.
It's on your passport. It's examined by the police to identify criminals. It's spotted by someone onto the street and you are recognized as one of his old friends, even years apart. It may be all you need to unlock your smartphone. Your face: It plays a vital role in your life and is closely connected with your identity.
What forms the basis for it all is the assurance that your look belongs to no one else but you. What do you think of the following story?"I was the last one onto the plane and there was someone in my seat, so I asked the man to move. He turned around and he had my face, says Neil Douglas, who was on his way to Ireland. "The whole plane looked at us and laughed. And that was when I took the selfie(自拍照)that went viral the next day."
Folk wisdom has it that everyone has a doppelganger(相貌一样的人);there's a perfect copy of you somewhere out there. But is there any truth in the belief? In 2015,scientist Teghan Lucas carefully analyzed the faces of nearly four thousand American individuals, measuring key features such as the eyes and ears. Next she calculated the probability that two people's faces would match. She found the chances of sharing just eight features with someone else are less than one in a trillion (one million million). Besides, humans undoubtedly have more than eight features.
But that's not quite the end of the story. The study relied on computers' exact measurements;if your doppelganger's ears are 59 mm but yours are 60 mm, your likeness wouldn't be counted. But when recognizing a lookalike, few people will take such a slight difference into consideration.
Most people concentrate on superficial(表面的)characteristics such as hairlines and eyebrows, says Nick Fieller, a statistician. Then it's just a matter of working out the probability that someone else will have all the same versions as you. "There are only so many genes in the world which specify the shape of the face and millions of people, so it's bound to happen," says professor Winrich Freiwald.
36、What is the first paragraph mainly about?
A.The key role of our identity.
B.The uniqueness of our faces.
C.The advantages of our looks.
D.The applications of our faces.
37、Why does the author refer to Douglas' story?
A.To share a strange experience.

D.To explain backgrounds of the study.
38、What did Lucas find in her research?
A.Computers are not very reliable.
B.Our faces have more than eight features.
C.Doppelg angers are actually common.
D.The chance of having a lookalike is slim.
39、What is Freiwald's attitude to folk wisdom mentioned in paragraph 3?
A.Favorable. B.Disapproving. C.Unclear. D.Cautious.
Job interviews are rarely fun, especially for today’s young people. They usually need to smile anxiously into their laptop webcams, and answer questions as a time ticks down with no human to interact with at all.
Large employers are using these asynchronous (非同步的) video to cut down job applicants to a smaller pool they can meet in person. Platforms such as HireVue and Modern Hire record applicants answering pre-determined questions, usually with a time limit for each answer. In some cases, the recordings will be watched by employer’s hiring managers. In others, the platform’s algorithms will assess the candidate based on what they said or even their facial expressions. The platforms say the process is fairer and less biased than human recruiters (招聘者), leading to better and more diverse candidates making the cut.
However, in addition to caring about whether the technology works as intended, employers need to pay more attention to how the process affects prospective employees. Researchers at University of Sussex Business School, in association with the Institute for Employment Studies, have warned that young jobseekers feel confused, dehumanized and exhausted by automated recruitment systems.
Jimeet Romen Shah, who is in his final year at the University of Sussex, has done seven or so AVIs in the past two years. He tries to “make eye contact” with the camera but finds it hard not to watch his own face on the screen. “It doesn’t feel natural at all. When I’m in a face-to-face interview, I can smile when I’m talking, but when I’m in a video and trying to smile it doesn’t look right.” He worries that if he glances down or up it will look like he is reading notes. “It does feel robotic,” he says.
Employers stand to lose too. AVIs select out people who can talk into a void (真空), not people who can interact well with others, though the latter is more important in most jobs. What’s more, an interview is a company’s first real interaction with prospective employees. It should be a chance for both sides to learn about each other.
It’s easy to get excited about new technology, but employers should listen to the voices of the supposed “digital natives” now subject to it. “If I’m ever on the other side of the table,” Shah told me, “I’m always going to do a telephone call at the least.”
40、What do employers use AVIs to do
A. To communicate better with job applicants.
B. To choose job applicants for face-to-face interviews.
C. To examine job applicants’ facial expressions in detail.
D. To motivate job applicants to compete against each other.
41、What does Jimeet Romen Shah want to say about AVIs
A. They help him relax throughout the interviews.
B. They make him feel uneasy during the process.
C. They make it hard for him to focus on the camera.
D. They encourage him to pay more attention to details.
42、What problem might employers be faced with by using AVIs
A. They might lose the chance to introduce their company.
B. They might be misunderstood by prospective employees.
C. They might fail to learn better about prospective employees.
D. They might leave a poor impression on prospective employees.
43、What does the text mainly talk about
A. The negative impact of AVIs on recruitment.
B. The practical application of AVIs in recruitment.
C. The principle of using AVIs to screen job candidates
D. The difference between AVIs and traditional interviews.
Hearing loss is unavoidable, but listening to loud music when you’re younger can make it worse. To reduce your risk of hearing loss via loud music, learn why and how it can cause hearing loss, and just how loud is too loud.
Hearing loss occurs in four ways: conductive hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss, mixed hearing loss and auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. Noise-induced(噪音诱发的) hearing loss is a type of sensorineural hearing loss.
Sensorineural hearing loss occurs when your inner ear becomes damaged. In the case of noise induced hearing loss, most of the damage affects the cells of tiny sensory hairs in your inner ear.
When those cells get damaged or die, the electrical signal that your auditory nerve sends to your brain changes.
Noise-induced hearing loss can be acute or severe, and it can be temporary or permanent. You might be familiar with acute temporary noise-induced hearing loss, even if you didn’t realize what was happening at the time.
Acute temporary noise-induced hearing loss can occur from attending a loud concert or sporting event, going to a gun range without earmuffs or being near an explosion. It can make noises sound “stuffy” or far away, especially when talking on the phone or in a crowded room. Repeated exposure to those loud situations can eventually lead to permanent hearing loss.
Noise levels from earbuds and headphones can get as loud as 139 decibels, according to the journal Noise & Health, far greater than the recommended range of everyday sound exposure, which is 60 to 85 decibels. And the average level of noise from headphones, with the volume turned all the way up, is 94 to 110 decibels. For context, 60 decibels is about the volume of an average conversation, and 130 decibels is about the noise level of a rock concert. 85 decibels is considered the maxi-mum volume at which you can listen to sound for eight hours without damaging your hearing. So if you were to listen to music from your headphones for eight hours a day, listening at a volume louder than 85 decibels can cause permanent damage to your ears.
Unfortunately, the relationship between decibels and time isn’t linear. For every three decibels, safe exposure time gets cut in half, according to the CDC. At 88 decibels, you can only safely listen for four hours; at 91 decibels, just two hours.
44、What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph One refer to
A. Hearing loss. B. Listening to loud music.
C. Risk. D. Loud music.
45、In which of the following situations is acute temporary noise-induced hearing loss more likely to occur
A. Attending a rock concert. B. Participating in a heated debate.
C. Going to a gun range with earmuffs. D. Watching an explosion at a distance.
46、In terms of safe exposure how long can you listen at 97 decibels
A. A quarter. B. Half an hour.
C. One hour. D. One and a half hours.
47、Which of the following can be the best title of this passage
A. Loud Music Damages Hearing B. How to Prevent Hearing Loss
C. How Loud Is Too Loud D. Music and Hearing

50、Praise is like sunlight to the human spirit: we cannot flower and grow without it. And yet, while most of us are only too ready to apply to others the cold wind of criticism, we are somehow reluctant to give our fellows the warm sunshine of praise.
①_______ Perhaps ifs because few of us know how to accept compliments gracefully. Instead, we are embarrassed and shrug off the words we are really so glad to hear. Because of tills defensive reaction, direct compliments are surprisingly difficult to give. That is why some of the most valued pats on the back are those which come to us indirectly, in a letter or passed on by a friend.
It’s especially rewarding to give praise in areas in which effort generally goes unnoticed or unmentioned. ②_______ A cook is praised for a perfect meal. But do you ever tell your laundry manager how pleased you are when the shirts are done just right Do you ever praise your paper boy for getting the paper to you on time 365 days a year
Praise is particularly appreciated by those doing routine jobs: gas station attendants, waitresses—even housewives, ③_______ Since so often praise is the only wage a housewife receives, surely she of all people should get her measure.
④_______ It only takes a moment’s thought and a moment’s effort—perhaps a quick phone call to pass on a compliment, or five minutes spent writing an appreciative letter. It is such a small investment—and yet consider the results it may produce.⑤_______
So, let’s be alert to the small excellences around us and comment on them. We will not only bring joy into other peopled lives, but also, very often, add happiness into our own.
A. We are accustomed to accepting praise.
B. A student is ignored despite his good work.
C. To give praise costs the giver almost nothing.
D. It's strange how cautious we are about praising.

F. An artist gets complimented for a glorious picture.
G. “I can live for two months on a good compliment,” said Mark Twain.
Tips for Great Language Exchanges
● What to ask yourself
The first step is to ask yourself some important questions. The most important question to ask yourself is why you want to learn the language. ①
● Find the right partner
There are hundreds of partners to choose from in the language you want to learn.② When reading profiles, look for some important signs. People who have been on the site and have been active are much more likely to be good partners than those who have been on the site for a week and don't really have their profile filled out and haven't been active. Another thing to keep in mind is that it is better to find at least two exchange partners. ③
● State your expectations
④ Expressing expectations in advance will give the partnership a higher chance of going well. Avoid being too strict. For example, if you're hoping for Wednesday nights every week, you'll have better luck if you state other times that also could work for you.
● ⑤
Before each meeting, prepare some questions on a topic of your choice. That will give you the chance to look up related words as well as think about your own answers. Preparing topics ahead of time will also help you avoid having nothing to say at your meetings. Otherwise, you'll find that you keep talking about the same things at every meeting, which you want to avoid.
A.Get fully prepared.
B.Avoid having nothing to express.
C.Some of them may give you a hand.
D.So how can you find the right partner
E.People lead busy lives and one person may not be available every week.
F.Another question to ask yourself is how much free time you really have
G.Once you find a person who seems like a good fit, be clear about what your expectations are.
52、Meaningful ways to celebrate the New Year
It's been said that the New Year sets the intention for the entire year to come. Here are some meaningful ideas for celebrating this New Year.
Write a letter to yourself. ①________ In it, you can list things like what your biggest dreams are right now, the things we are most afraid of, the most impressive emotions you experience on a daily basis, the things that are flowing in your life and things that feel stuck, how you feel in your body and how you hope you will feel as you read the letter in one year.
Release a floating lantern. In many cultures, it's considered good luck to release a lantern into the sky. ②________ With a few simple tools you can make your own lantern, and can even write on the outside some of the old patterns you are ready to release from your life.
③________ Alone time is unbelievably important for processing, reflecting and connecting with yourself. And if you cannot decide what celebration feels right for you this New Year's Eve, you may simply enjoy your own company. Have a solo dance party, order favorite carry-out, do an at-home yoga practice or meditation(冥想) and take a candlelit bubble bath. Give yourself the gift of quality time, and find enjoyment and ease in the company you keep, even in the empty moments. ④________
List the things you are grateful for. There's no truer way to find delight in this very moment than to count your blessings. As you look back on an entire year, you're sure to discover a treasure of miracles just waiting to be illuminated(照亮)and treasured. So take some time to come up with your own gratitude list for 2020. ⑤________
A.Begin one of your goals.
B.Enjoy your own company.
C.Fill yourself from the inside out.
D.It is a symbol of your problems and worries floating away.
E.There is just so much to be thankful for, if only we have eyes to see.

When we approached the train station in the morning, our 22-day adventure from Sudbury to Vancouver was to begin. Eyes baggy from lack of sleep, we jumped on board as if it was the train to Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
At night, we would climb up the glass-domed train car, which gave us a scenic view of the starry night sky, untouched by the harmful light pollution. And this time we were greeted by night sky painted by a fantastic thunderstorm. Taking inspiration from other technology adapted for recognizing primates and bears, Krista Ingram, a biologist at Colgate University, developed SealNet, the software that uses deep learning and a convolutional neural network to tell one seal face from another."(科尔盖特大学(Colgate University)的生物学家克里斯塔·英格拉姆(Krista Ingram)从其他用于识别灵长类动物和熊的技术中获得灵感,开发了SealNet软件,该软件使用深度学习和卷积神经网络来区分海豹的面孔。) 故选A。

The software saw seal faces in other body parts, vegetation, and even rocks."(该软件可以在身体的其他部位、植被甚至岩石上看到海豹的脸。)

(What forms the basis for it all is the assurance that your look belongs to no one else but you),这也是第一段的主要内容。
37、答案:C

When I'm in a face-to-face interview, I can smile when I'm talking, but when I'm in a video and trying to smile it doesn't look right." He worries that if he glances down or up it will look like he is reading notes. "It does feel robotic," he says.(他试图与镜头"眼神交流",但发现很难不看到自己的脸出现在屏幕上。"
Employers stand to lose too. AVIs select out people who can talk into a void(真空), not people who can interact well with others, though the latter is more important in most jobs. What's more, an interview is a company's first real interaction with prospective employees. It should be a chance for both sides to learn about each other.(雇主也会蒙受损失。
43、答案:A
Job interviews are rarely fun, especially for today's young people. They usually need to smile anxiously into their laptop webcams, and answer questions as a time ticks down with no human to interact with at all.(工作面试很少有乐趣,尤其是对现在的年轻人来说。 A The negative impact of AVIs on recruitment. 故选A。
Hearing loss is unavoidable, but listening to loud music when you’re younger can make it worse. To reduce your risk of hearing loss via loud music, learn why and how it can cause hearing loss, and just how loud is too loud.听力损失是不可避免的,但是当你年轻的时候听大声的音乐会使它变得更糟,为了通过大声的音乐来降低听力损失的风险,学习为什么和如何会导致听力损失,以及声音有多大"可知it指的是loud music,故选D。
45、答案:A
Acute temporary noise-induced hearing loss can occur from attending a loud concert or sporting event, going to a gun range without earmuffs or being near an explosion.参加一场喧闹的音乐会或运动会、去没有耳罩的射击场或接近爆炸时,可能会出现急性暂时性噪声性耳聋.“可知参加摇滚音乐会更容易发生急性暂时性噪声性听力损失,故选A。
46、答案:B
解析:推理判断题。根据最后一段"Unfortunately, the relationship between decibels and time isn't linear. For every three decibels, safe exposure time gets cut in half, according to the CDC. At 88 decibels, you can only safely listen for four hours; at 91decibels,just two hours.不幸的是,分贝和时间的关系不是线性的.根据疾病控制中心的数据,每3分贝,安全暴露时间就减少一半,88分贝时,你只能安全地听4个小时;91分贝时,只有2个小时,"可知每3分贝,安全暴露时间就减少一半,可知94分贝时是1小时,97分贝就是半小时,故选B。
47、答案:A
Hearing loss is unavoidable, but listening to loud music when you're younger can make it worse. To reduce your risk of hearing loss via loud music, learn why and how it can cause hearing loss, and just how loud is too loud.听力损失是不可避免的,但是当你年轻的时候听大声的音乐会使它变得更糟,为了通过大声的音乐来降低听力损失的风险,学习为什么和如何会导致听力损失,以及声音有多大,"可知本文主要讲述了喧闹的音乐损害听力,所以"A Loud Music Damages Hearing"作为题目最合适,故选A。

解析:
50、答案:①-⑤DFECG
解析:本文是一篇说明文。 文章主要介绍了赞美别人所带来的好处。
①分析设空可知,空处位于段首,是本段的中心句,根据后文“Instead, we are embarrassed and shrug off the words we are really so glad to hear. Because of this defensive reaction, direct compliments are surprisingly difficult to give. That is why some of the most valued pats on the back are those which come to us indirectly, in a letter or passed on by a friend.(相反,我们感到尴尬,对我们真正高兴听到的话不屑一顾。由于这种防御反应,直接的赞美是非常困难的。这就是为什么一些最有价值的鼓励是来自于间接的,来自于一封信或朋友的传递)”可知,本段主要是在讲,我们不会随便赞美他人,所以D项“It's strange how cautious we are about praising.(奇怪的是,我们对赞美是如此谨慎)”符合文意。故选D项。
②根据前文“It's especially rewarding to give praise in areas in which effort generally goes unnoticed or unmentioned.(在那些努力通常被忽视或不被提及的领域给予表扬尤其有益)”可知,本段主要讲述了给那些被忽视或不被提及的人以鼓励会更有益,再根据后文“A cook is praised for a perfect meal.(厨师因一顿完美的饭菜而受到表扬)”可知,此处在举反例,所以空处应也是反例,所以F项“An artist gets complimented for a glorious picture(一位艺术家因一幅辉煌的画而受到称赞)” 符合文意。故选F项。
③根据后文“Since so often praise is the only wage a housewife receives, surely she of all people should get her measure.(既然赞美常常是一个家庭主妇唯一得到的报酬,那么她当然应该得到她应得的报酬)”可知,赞美常常是有些人得到的唯一报酬。 所以E项“Shakespeare said, "Our praises are our wages." (莎士比亚说过:“赞美是我们的工资。”)”后句是对本句的进一步说明, 符合文意,其中wage为同词复现。故选E项。
④分析设空可知,空处位于段首,是本段的中心句,根据后文“It only takes a moment's thought and a moment's effort perhaps a quick phone call to pass on a compliment, or five minutes spent writing an appreciative letter. It is such a small investment and yet consider the results it may produce.(这只需要片刻的思考和片刻的努力,也许是一个快速的电话传递赞美,或花五分钟写一封感激的信。这是一笔很小的投资,但考虑一下它可能产生的结果)”可知,赞美他人不需要什么代价,所以C项“To give praise costs the giver almost nothing.(给予赞美者几乎不需要付出任何代价)”符合文意。故选C项。
⑤分析设空可知,空处位于段尾,应该是对前文的总结或者前句的说明,根据前文“It is such a small investment and yet consider the results it may produce.(这是一笔很小的投资,但考虑一下它可能产生的结果)”可知,后文应写后果,所以G项“"I can live for two months on a good compliment," said Mark Twain.(马克 吐温说过:“只凭一句赞美的话我就可以充实地活上两个月。”)”
Write a letter to yourself.(给自己写封信。)" G"If you miss the good old days, it can be wonderful to write a letter to your future self.(如果你怀念过去的美好时光,给未来的自己写封信是一件很棒的事情。)" 选择项中的"write a letter to your future self"与主题句"Write a letter to yourself."
In many cultures, it's considered good luck to release a lantern into the sky.(在许多文化中,向天空放飞灯笼被认为是好运。)"可知,放飞灯笼象征着有好运。所以选择项D"It is a symbol of your problems and worries floating away.(它象征着你的问题和烦恼都烟消云散了。)"符合上下文语境。选择项中的it代指主题句中的"a floating lantern”。
Alone time is unbelivably important for processing, reflecting and connecting with yourself.(独处的时间对于处理、反思和与自己联系是极其重要的。)" B. "Enjoy your own company.(享受独处的时光。)"
Have a solo dance party, order favorite carry-out, do an at-home yoga practice or meditation (冥想) and take a candlelit bubble bath. Give yourself the gift of quality time, and find enjoyment and ease in the company you keep, even in the empty moments.(开个单人舞会,点一份自己喜欢的外卖,在家做瑜伽或冥想,或者来个烛光泡泡浴。给自己一份优质时光的礼物,在你的陪伴中找到快乐和安逸,即使是在空虚的时刻。)"可知,这里介绍独自一人的时候如何由内而外的填充自己。所以选择项C "Fill yourself from the inside out.(由内而外填满你自己。)"
List the things you are grateful for.(列出你感激的事情。)" As you look back on an entire year, you're sure to discover a treasure of miracles just waiting to be illuminated(照亮) and treasured. So take some time to come up with your own gratitude list for 2020.(当你回顾这一整年,你一定会发现一个奇迹的宝藏,正等着被照亮和珍惜。所以,花点时间来制定你自己的2020年感恩清单吧。)"可知,能够列出感激的事情有很多。所以选择项E.There is just so much to be thankful for, if only we have eyes to see.(只要我们有眼睛能看见,就会有太多值得感谢的事。) 选择项中的"be thankful for"与主题句中的"are grateful for"相一致。故选E。
